Lately we hear how sugar is blamed for all our healthy problems, but cooking without sugars will be almost impossible. Lets see what are sugars?
Sugars are simple carbohydrates. Another is fructose, commonly found in berries, tree and vine fruits, honey and root vegetables. Fructose does not trigger the production of insulin by pancreatic cells like other sugars, so it is often recommended for diabetics. Granulated table sugar is sucrose, a combination of glucose and fructose.
Sucrose occurs naturally in every fruit and vegetable, but it is in greatest quantities in sugar cane and sugar beets. It is separated for commercial use and then processed through pressing, boiling, spinning, washing, filtering, crystallizing, drying and packaging
Eat sugar in moderation, If you have healthy problems concerning the use of sugar please consult your doctor.
